Infrastructure and Connectivity
Instructional technology infrastructure听refers to听all听hardware, software, network resources,听and services required听to operate and manage听an听instructional technology听environment.听Connectivity refers to听the connections between devices that allow听them听to听transfer data back and forth, especially听the听network connections that enable Internet access.听Connectivity includes both broadband and wireless connections.听
The听increasing use of technology听to enhance teaching and learning听makes it听critically听important听to build a robust infrastructure听and听maximize connectivity, including wireless networks.听Connectivity听projects include听those that enhance school connectivity and听that enhance听Community Connectivity, including听Internet access in听students' homes.听
