National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS)

罢丑别听听was established in听1973 by the Board of Regents听after听it听initiated a pilot study to assess the potential听of a college credit advisory service. This project was a direct听outcome of听recommendations made by the Commission on Non-Traditional Study, a two-year venture supported by听the Carnegie听Corporation, to provide a national perspective on the future of higher education, including recognizing听and granting听credit for postsecondary learning undertaken in noncollegiate settings. The Commission called for a听system to establish听college credit equivalencies for courses offered by government, industry, and other noncollegiate听sponsors.
